Your computer has a set amount of physical memory (RAM) that is used for temporary storage as it processes information. At times, there is insufficient RAM available. When this occurs, the operating system uses virtual memory to treat hard disk space, which is normally long-term storage, as RAM. Windows uses the pagefile.sys file to keep track of virtual memory usage. Memory Optimizer adjusts the size of pagefile.sys for optimal use. You can also specify minimum and maximum sizes for the pagefile.sys size.
In addition, if your computer has sufficient RAM available, Memory Optimizer loads basic system code into RAM to minimize disk access.
Memory Optimizer evaluates how your PC manages temporary and virtual memory tasks and adjusts settings to make sure your memory settings are optimal.
You can run Memory Optimizer and let SystemSuite determine the best settings or, if you require custom settings, you can set minimum and maximum sizes for the memory file.
NOTE: Note: If you open Memory Optimizer and the Next button is not enabled, your settings are already optimal and you do not need to run it.
