PC Analyzer provides all the information it can gather about each process or service. If you have unique processes or services running, PC Analyzer may not be able to retrieve all the related information. Make sure that your subscription is up-to-date so that you are receiving the latest data tables for these types of processes.
To run PC Analyzer:
1 On the Optimize tab, click PC Analyzer. PC Analyzer analyzes, aggregates, and displays the data.
NOTE: When viewing information, click the plus sign (+) next to any item to expand it and see the details.
§ View the Startup and Shutdown panes to see which items use the most resources.
§ View the Active pane to see the real-time processes and the percent of resources (vertical axis) used during the last 120 seconds (horizontal axis). Click the CPU Usage, Memory Usage, or Disk I/O Usage buttons to view related information.
§ View the Performance Alerts pane to see if there are alerts that need attention.
3 Click the Startup or Shutdown tab to view the processes. Use the menu on the right to view different usage information.
§ To disable an item, click Launch Startup Commander. Startup Commander lists the file names for the processes or application. Some processes are essential, so Startup Commander does not allow you to disable these.
§ Select the file that you want to disable.
§ Click the Disable button or right-click and choose Disable from the menu. (You may not be able to disable all processes.)
§ When the PC Startup Analyzer Results window opens, click Save to save the results.
4 Click the Active tab to view the processes that are currently running. Use the menu on the right to view different usage information.
§ To increase the priority of a process, click Increase Priority.
§ To decrease the priority of a process, click Decrease Priority.
§ To end the process, click End Process.
NOTE: The process is stopped for this session only. When you restart your computer, or you restart the related software program, the process will start again.
To learn more about working in Startup Commander, see Enabling and Disabling Startup Items.
5 To close PC Analyzer, click Done.
