If you have more than one operating system installed on your computer, starting in Safe Mode is slightly different.
To start Windows in Safe Mode on a dual-boot computer:
If your computer is running, shut down and turn off the computer’s power.
Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
When a list of the available operating systems appears, use the arrow keys to select the version of Windows to start.
Press Enter.
Immediately begin pressing the F8 key.
Use the arrow keys to select the Safe Mode option.
Press Enter.
If your computer does not start, repeat this process, but select Safe Mode with Networking in step 20.
