Running Registry Cleaner

Registry Cleaner removes the Recent Documents list and the Run list.

The Recent Documents list contains shortcuts to files that you have recently opened. The Run list contains paths to computers and programs that you have run using the Run dialog box. Both lists are available from the Windows Start menu, and both continue to grow over time.

On some operating systems, Registry Cleaner Express also removes the Find Computer list and the Document Find list. These files contain lists of computers and documents for which you have searched.

On computers running Windows XP, Registry Cleaner Express can also remove the Tip of the Day file.

To run Registry Cleaner:

1       On the Optimize tab, click Registry Cleaner.

2       Select one or more items to remove from the registry. (If an item is not available, it is irrelevant to your computer.)

3       Click Apply.

4       When finished, click Done.

You must restart your computer for some items to be deleted.
