If you or your computer’s manufacturer installed the system recovery options, you can access them on your hard drive.
To go to the system recovery options when they are installed:
1 Remove all discs from your computer.
2 Restart your computer.
3 If you have more than one operating system on your computer, when a list of the available operating systems appears, use the arrow keys to select the version of Windows to start. Press Enter.
4 Before the Windows startup screen appears, begin pressing the F8 key.
5 Use the arrow keys to select Repair your computer.
NOTE: If "Repair your computer" does not appear, the system recovery options are not installed on your computer. For more information, see Using the System Recovery Options from an Installation Disc.
6 Press Enter.
7 Select a keyboard layout, and then click Next.
8 Select a user name and enter the password. Click Next.
9 From the System Recovery Options menu, choose a tool to open it.
