Burning a Rescue Disk ISO File

Sometimes, SystemSuite does not recognize your CD or DVD-burning software. If this occurs, you can burn the Rescue Disk to the disc using your disc burning software. You can find the Rescue_Disk.iso file in the SystemSuite installation directory.

Windows XP cannot burn an ISO image to a disc. You must have disc burning software that specifically supports burning ISO images. If you drag and drop an ISO file on a disc or send an ISO file to a disc, you only copy the file. You do not actually create a Rescue Disk.

To create a Rescue Disk using Windows Explorer:

1       Follow the steps in Creating a Rescue Disk.

2       In SystemSuite, click Cancel to close the Rescue Disk window.

3       Go to the SystemSuite installation directory.

4       Locate the Rescue_Disk.iso file.

5       Open your disc burning software. If you need help burning the Rescue Disk, consult the documentation that accompanies your disc burning software.

6       Use the disc burning software to burn the ISO image to the disc.

7       When writing is complete, eject the disc.

8       Write Rescue Disk on the disc so you do not forget what it is. Store the disc in a safe location.
