To create a Rescue Disk, your computer must have a CD or DVD-burner installed. You must insert a blank CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, or DVD-RW into the disc burner. You also need CD or DVD-burning software that is capable of burning an ISO image to a disc.
To create a Rescue Disk:
1 On the Fix & Maintain tab, click System Recovery and then choose Rescue Disk.
2 Insert a blank, recordable CD or DVD in your computer’s CD or DVD burner.
3 If a dialog box opens, asking what you want Windows to do, click Take no action or Cancel.
SystemSuite creates the Rescue_Disk.iso file. If SystemSuite cannot write the file to the disc, a message appears. Read the message and click OK. To finish creating the Rescue Disk, see Burning a Rescue Disk ISO File.
5 SystemSuite opens your disc burning software. Make sure that the path to the ISO file is correct.
6 Burn the Rescue Disk using the burning software. If you need help burning the Rescue Disk, consult the documentation that accompanies your disc burning software.
7 When writing is complete, eject the disc.
8 Write Rescue Disk on the disc so you do not forget what it is. Store the disc in a safe location.
9 In SystemSuite, click Cancel to close the Rescue Disk window.
