In the Settings dialog box, the Global Settings tab includes options that apply to all areas of SystemSuite.
To edit SystemSuite global settings:
1 Click the Settings button and click General Settings.
2 Click the Global Settings tab.
3 Use the following information to enable or disable Activity Monitoring:
NOTE: Activity monitoring allows SystemSuite to watch how busy your PC is and to start tools when your PC is less busy. If you disable activity monitoring, SystemSuite runs tools when needed which may cause minor slowdowns while you are working.
§ To stop monitoring, select the Disable Activity Monitoring check box.
§ To start monitoring, clear the Disable Activity Monitoring check box.
§ In CPU Activity Threshold, choose when SystemSuite tools are allowed to run based on the percentage of CPU usage. If you select 40%, tools can only run when the CPU usage is less than 40%. This setting prevents tools from running while the CPU is already very busy.
4 To display the SystemSuite icon in the notification area, even if SystemSuite is not running, select Always show notification area icon. To display the SystemSuite icon only if SystemSuite is running, select Only show tray icon when a task is running.
5 Click OK.
