Editing E-mail Defense Settings

Use E-mail Defense to scan incoming e-mail messages for viruses and spyware. E-mail Defense works with Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, and Mozilla Thunderbird to protect you from malicious file attachments.

To enable and disable E-mail Defense:

1       Click Settings to open the Settings dialog box.

2       Click Anti-Malware, and then click the E-mail Defense tab.

3       Select Enable E-mail Defense. To disable E-mail Defense, clear the Enable E-mail Defense check box.

4       If your e-mail provider uses non-standard ports, to configure the ports for your e-mail account, click Advanced. Specify the Inbound and Outbound ports, and then click OK.

5       Continue editing Anti-Malware settings, or click OK.
