Booting From a Rescue Disc

If you purchased a boxed version of SystemSuite, you can use the installation CD as a Rescue disk. If you downloaded SystemSuite you can create a Rescue Disc. For more information, see Creating a Rescue Disk.

Before using a boot disk, try starting your computer in Safe Mode. For more information, see Starting In Safe Mode.

The Rescue Disk tool installs generic mouse driver that works with most mouses. If your mouse does not work, the driver may be incompatible with it. Connect a different mouse to your computer, or use the keyboard.

To start your computer from the Rescue Disc:

1       Place the rescue disc in the disc drive.

2       Start or restart your computer.

If your computer is set up to boot from the CD or DVD drive, before Windows starts, Rescue Disk starts.

If Windows starts when the Rescue Disk is in the CD or DVD drive, your computer is not set up to boot from the CD or DVD drive. You must change your computer’s BIOS settings. For more information, consult the documentation that accompanied your computer, or contact a computer professional.
